CHECK THIS OUT: Eight Issues That Will Shape the 2006 Elections
WaPo has an interesting interactive campaign guide. Here are some of the topics and how they frame the questions. Under each questions they have links to the candidates they think fits the categories.

The Elephant in the Room » How big a problem is President Bush for the GOP?

The Abramoff Echo » Will the corruption issue go national?

Money Matters » Will pocketbook concerns move votes?

Border Patrol » Will the immigration issue save Republicans?

Anxious Suburbs » Will the Iraq War come home in November?

Tough Terrain » Can Republicans win the Northeast?

Red-State Revival » Can Democrats compete in the Upper South?

Tune In, Turn On » What Ballot Issues Will Drive Voters to the Polls?

1. The greatest tool of the propagandist is silence
When the papers of record put this out there this then becomes the consensus in the manufactured reality.

Healthcare-Global Warming- Bloated Pentagon Budget- Alternative Energy Programs- Torture et al all seem to be, not surprisingly, off the scale in the WaPo calculus
