BBC: Argentine workers take control

From the article:

The workers of the San Justo glassworks in Buenos Aires never thought about owning their company, until it went bankrupt four years ago.

It was just one of thousands of businesses that sank as Argentina's once prosperous economy went into meltdown, pushing almost half the population below the poverty line.

Many of the workers' relatives were against the venture
Today a new furnace where the red hot glass is melted is burning. The factory is one of more than 100 "recovered businesses" which are now putting themselves forward as an alternative business model for the country.
...
The National Movement of Recovered Factories boasts more than 100 businesses that went bankrupt during the crisis, but are now up and running, employing some 10,000 people.

1. As a pinko bastard supporter of a workers' democracy...
This is a positive sign... Every day it seems I'm inspired by the shift in Latin American politics!

3. It just occurred to me why it's happening.
Bush can't walk and chew gum and neither can his administration. They have such amazing tunnel vision. They can't imagine, like little kids, that anything exists outside of their view. They aren't looking at Latin America, so nothing can possibly be happening in Latin America.

So they aren't busy assassinating and planting false stories or doing their usual CIA garbage in Latin America because they've diverted so much to the Middle East. Not to mention forcing so many professional spooks to quit in disgust.

Could this be the only good thing that BushCo ever did? Nothing?

4. On the other hand...
Bushie and Co. have been involved in trying to overthrow Chavez, and are involved in Colombia, as well, arming or assisting right wing paramilitary groups confront FARC.
