6. Latest news of Foley's possible trysts...
Edited on Mon Oct-02-06 02:45 PM by janx
The IMs with a teenager about when and where they'll see each other again, dinner, what else?, etc.

To: TeleStraightShooter

apparently the time line is:

Emails are brought to the attention of Hassert which are NOT sexual in nature. These non sexual emails (house email system) are refered to the page department director. This is around Dec. 2005.

LAST WEEK: Instant Messages, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE DISTINCT EMAIL SYSTEM, are revealed. It appears Democrats sat on the child solicitation Instant Messages (not emails) for THREE YEARS before revealing them the day after foley's name could not be dropped.

Foley resigns after house leadership learns of instant messages, (not emails).

And how the hell can Democrats get access to Aim-conversations? They were either saved by the kid or by Foley the pervert himself. Or someone supervised it. And I doubt that the Dems are in charge of something like that.
Uh the bad Dems sitting on the infos for 3 years..did they never think about the children?

64. In the Freeper Fantasy World . . .
Democrats are evil and only think of electoral advantage and never consider the general welfare of the nation.

However, this assumes that Democrats must be pretty dumb, because if they had the information three years ago, they would have used to their advantage in the 2004 election.

I'm surprised these loonies aren't trying to spin this into a Democrat writing these messages in order to frame Foley and set up the Republican leadership. It makes about as much sense.

Don't try to argue with them, either. Some of them are still convinced that WMDs will be found in Iraq, that Bush never tells a lie and that Andy Stevenson is alive sipping pina coladas in on his private South Pacific island.

And there budget deficits don't matter because the tooth fairy will take care of it.

130. According to one poster in the Freeper thread,
Edited on Tue Oct-03-06 01:09 AM by tblue37
LGF is claiming that the messages were altered. So they are already trying to claim that the Dems faked the messages and set Foley up. But then why would Foley resign in such a hurry, and why would his Repub colleagues slam him and admit that they had heard about some things months and even years ago?

The Democrats held the IMs until now just to use it to political advantage to cover-up the terrorists tapes from 2000 when BILL CLINTON was president!!

Spin baby spin...

Even the host wasn't buying it...he even said, but why would the Democrats release it now, they got the Woodward book coming out getting overlooked because of it...

Yep folks, it is the pass the buck administration...no matter what, it is always the democrats fault!

How is it getting "worse"? Foley was outed and he's gone. You seen the democrats drop anybody who's under an ethical cloud? We've dropped FOUR people already.

That's the message to take to the people in November. Of the 4 biggest GOP targets of wrongdoing, all four are GONE.

of the 5 biggest DEM targets of wrongdoing, all are still in power.

We are the party that takes action when wrongdoing is found. The Dems are the party that looks the other way and won't discipline their own in a meaningful way.

112. Please don't misunderstand.
Gay has to do with everything when it's the exact opposite of what one pretends to stand for. I'm not against gay. I'm against false representation. You need to check out the various interviews Foley has done to see what I mean.

That being said, "gay pedophile" means (to me) that he wasn't chasing underage female pages. There is a difference between gay and straight. There is also a difference between being anti-gay and pointing out the fact that someone lies about who they are. Is that ever a good thing? It's sick. Being gay is NOT sick, but lying about and covering up who you are is sick.

21. This one especially bothers me:
LGF is reporting the possible alternation of some of Foley's emails.
POSSIBLE ALTERATIONS DONE TO ORIGINAL EMAILS!

Tom Maguire from JustOneMinute, Rick Moran from Rightwing Nuthouse, and Clarice Feldman from The American Thinker have been doing some wonderful research on the suspicious way in which this story took fire. In my earlier post I delved into the fact that the liberal group CREW had a big hand in getting the IM’s out. Now Rick has done some research on the website that supposedly broke the story:

I'm assuming that "LGF" is "Little Green Footballs". Like I said, that post bothers me. I wonder if they're going to "Dan Rather" this story and attempt to say that the instant messages between Foley and the teens are fabricated. If so, that's what the media will focus on.

It's hard to keep up with everything about this situation because it's not news in the UK and everything I'm finding out about it comes from you guys and the MSM on the internets. I know there's a lot of it that I've missed, for example, not knowing that the info actually came from the pages.

I have two questions I'd like to ask, if you don't mind:

1) When did the instant message exchanges take place? I thought it was just a year or two ago, but I've read freeper posts that say it was in 2000-2001 (as if to them that excuses Foley's behavior somehow).

2) What does "Buckhead" mean? (I'm completely out of it on that one.)

Thanks in advance.

Foley bailed out ASAP after he was exposed and checked into alcohol rehab. You can stick a fork in this one.

The Freepers will remain delusional and continue to deny everything until it dies down. For all their bullshit about "moral relativism" they are the ultimate relativists when it comes to simple truth.

29. There are some really bright people over there.
"Was there a Warrant issued to wire-tap these e-mails?"

Someone posted a picture of Elton John and his dude and another person wrote:

"Neither of them look at all underage to me."

This one is good. Proud that 4 repubs already stepped down..LOL

"How is it getting "worse"? Foley was outed and he's gone. You seen the democrats drop anybody who's under an ethical cloud? We've dropped FOUR people already."

And then someone calls it a setup. :eyes: Yeah, the dems turned Foley into a pervert. We are a very powerful bunch.

"Foley walked right into it, but it looks to me like a setup. I wonder how long it takes before someone gets ahold of the DNS info and finds out where the IM's were really coming from."

And then this.. What pass?

"The MSM gives liberals a pass but not conservatives. That's an outrage."

Here is a good one:

"My understanding is that the emails are also a bit weird, but not disgusting. They're sort of thing a principal would call a teacher in about and say something like, "You know, you need to be careful.""

142. It was pretty obvious what
was going on. Don be disingenuous. It''s not becoming.

As for my comment, I wasn't hoping for an R victory. I was simply saying that we will see whether or not they imploded.

If they lose the House, well, that's expected. But if they implode, they will lose it by very wide margins. If they lose only by a few seats, or if they retain control, then they didn't implode, at all.

Which brings me to another point. It doesn't really matter if the FReeps implode, what matters is if their leadership implodes. I don't have a feel for that just yet, so I won't offer an opinion, just yet.

150. so, maybe they can go back to the eighties
and explain away the allegations from the Reagan-Bush era. They can go google the Lincoln S&L scandal, which was exposed by a decent Republican in Nebraska. Or maybe they can google for the front page Washington Times article on boy prostitution ring at WH. Everything so conveniently swept under the rug--but I'm sure they have explanations for everything. Did anyone send list of Repug pervs? It's not that all repug are pervs, but why do most pervs gravitate to the repug party? Now that's the question. The perception of good vs evil, one who cannot confront the shadow side of themselves (as we all have one)-so that even while they are doing not nice things, it's the other persons fault or someone made them do it-they cannot see their own evil, for in their mind they are always good, and always right. "Beware of the self-righteous person, for they are the most dangerous of all."

Now, this is the network controlled by the Right Wing, according to Clinton.

I've been wondering about ABC also. They keep publishing news on this.

This was a two party conversation and given to ABC by one which depending on state could be illegal.

LGF is reporting the possible alternation of some of Foley's emails

ALL of the Demagogues everywhere should be extremely supportive of Foley -- he was merely confused, he thought he was a Democrat and he just wanted to follow in the ennobling traditions of Gerry Studds, Barney Frank, Mel Reynolds, Bill Clinton, et al in taking full advantage of his position to score some hot sex.

How long did the rats and the media have this before releasing it? Pretty convenient to let it out six weeks before an election. I'm wondering if it's too late for another Republican to register as a candidate and get on the ballot and so it was released at this time for that reason? Does anyone know? Has anyone looked into this?

It was let out ONE DAY after the name could not be changed on the ballot.

EXACTLY one day.

24 hours later foley is asked to resign.

What backwash genepool did those freepers form in?

They seem the best argument ever refuting the concept of social promotion in the public schools.

90. Showing their true colors...
"By the way, that's been the goal of the queer groups for about 3 decades now. To make sure that you don't ever talk about the "graphic" part of being "gay" but only focus on the love and flowers and dancing together hand in hand in fields of chocolates* part. And America has been suckers* for that idea. Case in point, imagine if tomorrow that the hit TV show "queer eye for the straight guy" started showing the fags tongue kissing or crotch grabbing or worse. The who would be in the toilet in an eyeblink."

What vile, hate-filled subhuman cave-dwellers freepers are. Perfect arguments for birth control.

93. THIS guy wants to get rid of the page program altogether.
He says it's too tempting for members of Congress.

I thought I would :puke:

That tradition was created during a time where it was acceptable for a 16 person to engage in sex with much older man. That situation is now highly illegal.

It is almost never a good idea to have underage children with adults in a non-group environment. This is especially true for politicians who as a group tend to have a attitude of "the laws are for public, they don't apply to me".

I'm sure in most cases the experience is a very positive one for the page, but it the concept is just asking for trouble. If the page program should continue it should be made up of college interns.

I don't disagree with what you're saying as I do think the the "every man is a potential predator" thing has gone too far.

An adult that spends time alone with an underage child is just asking for trouble though. Heck, in today's climate even an adult that goes to watch a little league baseball game without a child playing there is just asking to be investigated as a potential molester.

The country has enough things to worry about. Providing our lawmakers the temptation of underage boys and girls who idolize them prancing around the capital seems to be just one distraction we really don't need.

It may be a great experience for a lot of the young people but it hurts the country as a whole as it puts "bait" in the range of our lawmakers who are the least able to resist temptation like that. For whatever reason, politicians tend to be very weak morally and putting underage bait in front of them is just asking for trouble.

Democrats taking advantage or Foley molesting teenage boys?

"To: yldstrk
Should we be appalled that the Democrats would take advantage of Republican recklessness and stupidity? Or should we be appalled that Rep. Foley is a flaming pederast?"

IT'S THE PEDOPHILIA, STUPID!

Since they expect us to enjoy this and rub it in, we may as well indulge them!

Wow... really doesn't understand that that is part of the reason why Foley targeted him... And why people like Foley are so dangerous.
