tried to tell me that in a presidential election between Condi and Wes Clark, that Condi would win by a landslide. He actually had the gall to say, "With her qualifications, she would win easily. What qualifies Wes Clark to be president?"

After I got done laughing my ass off, I asked him, "You voted for Bush, right?"
He answered, "Of course."
I replied, "You're happy with the job Bush has done?"
"For the most part, yes." he said.
I then asked him, "You mean to tell me that you think that Bush is qualified to be president but Clark is not?? WTF has Condi ever done that makes her so qualified besides ignoring a PDB which said we may be attacked!"

I haven't heard another word about it.

that roughly 30% of the public STILL avidly supports the Bush junta and I think over 50% still believe Iraq had WMD and that Sadddam Hussein was directly linked to/involved with 9/11. Those are EXACTLY the kind of people who would support Condi in a run for higher office. The only thing we've got going for us is that most of them probably are racists and most of them probably have a big problem with the concept of a woman President.

bu$h's knuckle-dragging base also tend to be closet KKK types, male chauvinists and suspicious of people with PhD's. That's already 3 strikes against Condi.
