Have you caught on to the "game" yet?

Pay close attention.
They are whipping their base into a frenzy. Hastert is "refusing" to step down.
However, in a few days, when people are lathered up REALLY good, a group of Republicans (most likely ones up for re-election) will form a committee and "convince" Hastert to step down.
Their base will be grateful that "their" politicians listened to them. It will "reinforce" that "their" party was the one that took matters into their own hands and fixed the problem.
All will be well in freeperland.
They don't even know they are being gamed--and never will.
Hastert will be thrown under the bus (sorry Craig Crawford--if he will fit) and given a golden parachute from one of the large lobbyist groups and nobody will pay attention to that.

Fundies are NOT happy, and even sacrificing Hastert isn't gonna fix it.

They won't win back all their votes that way but some morons will buy it.

Meanwhile, some Taliban are now being considered "okay", in the eyes of our masters. Gee, I thought they needed torturing...my bad. Bomb the fuckers back to the stone age, and now smother them with capital, yeah, that's the ticket. Hearts and minds are suddenly what's important, NOW?
