GOP struggles with 'overly friendly' Foley

Ooh, baby, baby.

I love it when you talk overly friendly to me.

Overly friendly? It must have taken Republicans all weekend and several single-malt scotches to come up with that term to describe Mark Foley's suggestive come-ons to a teenage boy.

When I think of overly friendly, I think of a Labrador retriever puppy, not a congressman. Perhaps the Republicans should have locked Foley, like my Labrador, in the back room when he got out of control.

Instead, they let Overly Friendly Foley have free access to teenage pages. Why would the party of family values do such a thing? snip

Let me ask you parents out there something: If a 50-year-old man were e-mailing your teenage son and asking him for pictures and what he wants for his birthday, what would your reaction be? Oh, he's just being overly friendly.
