Where are the parents?

Why didn't these parents kick and scream about this? Honestly, I think most parents feet would have been "overly friendly" with Hastert's fat ass had he dismissed these serious charges, or am I just "morally and intellectually confused"? What parents let their child receive this kind of e-mail and NOT PURSUE THE MATTER?(I note that I know the difference between the IMs and the e-mails level of language.)

7. Kids don't always tell.

Would a 16 or17 year old page be in a big hurry to inform his parents if he thought he had been sexually solicited by email by a congressman or even just received inappropriate emails? He might not want his sexuality questioned and be happy to put the whole thing behind him. Some parents may have known, but that many or most did not, I would not be surprised to see.

I think some of the pages were still in DC when he was sending these emails. So their parents were back at home.

5. I think for the longest time the kids kept it to themselves...

didn't tell the parents. It wouldn't be the first time. Now, more and more are finding their courage.
