1. Expects Democratic sweep

Projects 30 seat House gain. In Senate said only Dem at risk Menendez (NJ), all Repubs at risk. Expects both House & Senate goes Democratic. Prefaced statements With caveat that projections were made BEFORE Foley scandal broke!!

This is the preiction of the guy from Brookings. The lady from Cook is still talking & hasn't stated her prediction yet.

2. Well, as a Red Sox fan who was celebrating when the ball went
between Buckner's legs, I am NOT at all comfortable...so, does the Diebold factor then come into play if the Pugs get really desperate? And that is another of my concerns - that Cheney, Rove et all HUNGER for domination, and I just don't think that they will stop at anything to retain control. Of course, their very hunger appears to be working to completely undo them.

3. Diebold can't be a factor where there's no Diebold.
That's why we have to continue to fight to end Diebold's hold.

Still, there is much hope here. To rig this year's election it would take an absolutely *huge* conspiracy. We're not talking about gaming a single state's presidential numbers in a state where a partisan hack controls the counting. Instead, we're talking upwards of 60 races (and more every day) in districts all across the country. All the Democrats need is 15. Furthermore, there's no telling what the electorate is going to do on election day. Many races which are not considered in play could turn over. Many races aren't even close enough to rig.

The question is, if you are the Repukes, how many races do you rig? It may take more than a hundred, across the nation, in both red and blue states, to ensure victory. Do you really and honestly think that is possible for them?

I think the Repukes *know* that there's no hope here. If they don't know it, they're learning more about it every day.

NIE/Foley/Woodward! The gifts which keep on giving.
