I felt the air going out of this balloon earlier this year in the wake of the immigration debate and the toll of the war. I've canvassed and this year we had to create a special catagory for "non-voting R's"...people we encountered who pretty much were going to sit this election out...even if it meant Democrats taking control.

What we're seeing are the vocal 10% of the Repugnicans...the most rabid right wingers...but they're not sitting in the purple districts. I suspect we could see some real suprises in some borderline races...and this scandal will help in keeping even more at home. There's no reason for these people to vote...nothing to vote for.
