Friedman and Woodward and Matthews: Build 'em up, Knock em down
I'm sick of Woodward and Friedman and Matthews and all of these pundits and writers who NOW, all of a sudden, claim to see the light, be anti-republican, who were the very people who COULD have changed the '04 election, COULD maybe have prevented the Iraq war, but who stayed silent all those years! And now they want us dems to "put a leash" on bush, but they sure didn't lift a finger to get rid of him outright in '04, when really the same set of evidence existed. I mean really, what has changed?? Iraq was going south then. This is nothing new that the admin lied first and then ignored the military leaders and bungled the invasion.

A little small part of myself will be happy if Rove pulls off some trick and republicans retain control. It'll be a sad day for America in the big picture, but in a small way...fun to watch these elites who've done nothing but applaud bush for six years reap what they sow. Friedman and Woodward and Matthews and everybody in the media: YOU made america vote for this monster, now YOU have to live with what he does to our country. It's on YOUR soul.

1. How could they have changed the 04 election?
I think Diebold, Blackwell and Jeb had something to do with that. That is if you believe the exit polls.

2. My point is they spent six years applauding everything bush did
these guys, and it's not just these three, but they've all been in the news in the past few days, but all the media pundits loved bush, praised him, didn't ask any questions, and now, all of a sudden, they seem to "get it" and want, as matthews put it on letterman, "to put a leash on bush".

Read today's friedman article in the NY Times and tell me it doesn't make you a little sick to hear Friedman, who has been a promoter of the Iraq war, all of a sudden turn on bush. Why now?? Why not two years ago when it mattered?

And of course Woodward writes two fluffy praise missals, then finally decides to tell all. There were things he knew two years ago that are in the book that is coming out now. If only he had the guts to say two years ago what he's saying now.

I hope they have trouble sleeping at night.

And here's another point, if diebold is really stealing elections, would it kill these three influential journalists to look into the stories?? I honestly don't think it is diebold, etc., I think it is the lies that are told by the media, and these three have perpetuated, that have influenced the average voter. Remember back in '04, 75% of bush voters thought saddam had wmds. They thought saddam was involved in 9/11. That's a failure of the media to tell the truth.

3. I do understand that
My own parents thought bush hung the moon until last year as well. I can only be grateful that all of the above mentioned bush supporters woke up to the utter despotism that has gone on over the last 5 years.

When the wind changes direction, they will too. That's the one predictable thing about them.
