I noticed in this morning paper that the dow closed at 11,727.34
If my memory serves me right, back in '91 when it became apparent that we Dems had a viable candidate in Bill Clinton the economy started rebounding and things in general started looking not so bleak anymore. Well I see the same thing happening today in the American peoples attitude. We'll see.

4. Yep, lower energy costs = more earnings, investors love earnings
but this isn't a really huge crash thru the record. It's more of a slow trickle over it.

When the elections are over, and the winter heating season is upon us oil and gas will likely go up again and the tide will go out.

3. possibility of democrat success = resurging dow
one of the more cruel jokes is that the republican party likes to call itself the party of business. more like monkey business.

5. I've seen it happen before and I am seeing it happen now
I personally don't think the price of fuel is what is fueling this resurgence I see an increase in confidence as the driving force. Yes fuel prices is a factor but only in giving us an increase awareness of the situation. the situation being that the future looked bleak with the repukes staying in control while the prospect of a Dem win in '06, well makes us all feel better.
