Hastert is dumber than dirt.....
he had to fall back on Hannity and Limbaugh to do his spinning for him yesterday, basically interjecting a yeah, that's right, here and there as they spouted lies for him.

This is what the Repubbies get for electing a former wrestling coach who will do and say just about anything for money as your leader.

It was time for Hastert to take action to put down the mutiny. So he called Rush Limbaugh. And Sean Hannity. And Hugh Hewitt. And Lars Larson. And Roger Hedgecock. Even Neal Boortz, who said Hastert should find a "better excuse" for his inaction on Foley. "We're going to do them all," said Hastert aide Ron Bonjean.

Limbaugh, taking Hastert's call early in the afternoon, got right down to business. "The Washington Times' admittedly conservative editorial page has asked for you to step down," he pointed out.

"Well, yeah, I'm not going to do that," Hastert said casually, as if the Washington Times had suggested he order grapefruit for breakfast.

Limbaugh set about making the case for Hastert. Democrats and the media, he said, are making the speaker look more "interested in holding the House rather than protecting children."

2. Gotta love these guys
They're still blaming the same Democrats who have been shut out of the media for over 10 years for manipulating the media to make the poor GOP look bad.

They're blaming teenagers with raging hormones for sending a closeted gay man over the edge into being a sexual predator. Never mind those teenagers said the attempts to hustle them were unwelcome. We know what prick teasers they all are, walking around with those young, tight bodies while they carry stacks of paperwork from office to office.

They're blaming alcohol even though the predator was apparently a very light drinker, approaching a teetotaler. They're blaming all those godless libertines for creating a permissive society, never mind all that abstinence education, the drug war, the lack of access to many birth control methods due to pious pharmacists.

They've become the party of BLAME SOMEONE ELSE, the party of SOMEONE ELSE'S PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

It's past time for them all to go.

3. It was a different story with Clinton though...
even though Matt Drudge broke it, and Monica was set up by a Republican bitch-whore it wasn't a Republican conspiracy.

He took advantage of an innocent wide-eyed girl.

It was lame of him to blame his childhood problems on his adulthood problems, etc. etc.

Where they would allow Clinton no excuses, they are coming up with every excuse in the book for this sicko.

4. They can't win this anywhere but with the base
And the base loves conspiracy theories that explain what total and complete bastards the other side is (kind of like our base, come to think of it).

Moe: Man! You go through life, you try to be nice to people, you struggle to resist the urge to punch in the face, and for what? For some pimply little puke to treat like dirt unless you're on a team. Well, I'm better than dirt -- well, most kinds of dirt. I mean, not that fancy store-bought dirt. That stuff's loaded with nutrients. I -- I can't compete with that stuff.

9. DISGRACED ... just the right adjective
FOLEYGATE

"After being caught sending explicit emails to underage boys, Florida congressman Mark Foley has resigned. So his seat is up for grabs, which is what got him in trouble in the first place." --Jay Leno

"This is like the worst thing to happen to congressional Republicans since last Thursday. ... Most people think GOP stands for Gay Old Pedophile." --Jay Leno

"ABC is reporting that Mark Foley interrupted a vote on the House floor, stopped the House floor vote, so he could have online phone sex with a 16-year-old. Say what you want about Bill Clinton -- he could sit at his desk and have sex and work at the same time." --Jay Leno

"Apparently he had text message phone sex with a boy during a vote on funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. No one can say he's soft on terror." --Jimmy Kimmel

"Mark Foley has checked into alcohol rehab. Yeah, when asked about it, Foley said, 'I have a problem with 18-year old Scotch and 16-year-old boys.'" –Conan O'Brien

"The Republicans reacted quickly. They transferred Foley to a different parish." –David Letterman

"So basically Pages are brought down there to perform sexual exploits for legislators?" –Jon Stewart
"No, that’s what the interns are for. Pages are just the aphrodisiacs, set the mood, get them primed. They’re the Fluffers of Liberty." –Samantha Bee
