4. Probably for the exact reason I do.
I set my AIM account to create a log of all chats by default. Not because I ever think I'm going to need them for any legal reason, but because sometimes my friends and I have some really fucking funny conversations. It can be amusing to go back and read them sometimes.

when he was in school in Italy.. That way I could share them with Dad and his brothers, and it created a journal of sorts for him when he returned to the states.. he enjoyed re-reading them..

25. The RIGHT thing to do--show the mesgs to an adult so they can take action
Kids are CONSTANTLY told this at home by their parents, and online by their internet service provider, and then told it again and again at school by their teachers. Everyone knows this, it's a commonplace of our time. In this case some kid just did what they're all taught to do by parents and teachers, and he brought the messages to a supervising adult to complain about the harrassment. Unfortunately that supervisor was a Louisiana Republican, who in turn reported only to OTHER Republican Congressmen, who chose to keep it quiet and let the harrassment continue.

And now Rush SMACK ADDICT Limbaugh wants to complain about that--that the kid did what his parents and teachers and political leaders have all said that he should do?

What he's really complaining about is that his Rapepublican Congressman FINALLY got caught trying to get into a page's shorts.

34. and i would hope show them to your parents so they can protect you!!
all children should be advised to show their parents any thing that the child thinks is not "right"..

children should be told to listen to their inner voice..and trust their parents to help them with anything that might disturb them or their inner voice..

nothing should be out of the question when raising children..to be discussed at all times...

that trust must be built with our children, that they know you are the first one they want to come to if they feel something isn't quite right..

and we must always defend and respect our childrens inner voice..it is a most valuable tool..and keeps most kids safe..

11. Keep on spouting nonsense Rush...
...as this scandal unfolds and more graphic details are revealed--Rush's attempt to spotlight
the victim will become WMD against the Republicans.

Keep talking Rush. So glad you have three hours in which to shame yourself and damage
the entire Repubican party.

Make sure we can hear you clearly, and that there is no question that you're blaming a sex-crime
victim who was taken advantage of by a middle-aged Congressional pedophile.

Come on Rush. We want to hear more. Speak slowly and into the microphone.

12. This entire incident ought to bring down RW talk radio and FOX News
as anything but honest, moral, purveyors of information. Rush ought to lose at least 2/3rds of his audience because of his stance on protecting the Republicans and trying to make this incident a political trick of the Dems. Not even his audience should be that hypocritical. He is handling this much like his own drug abuse incident. I haven't heard Rush ask one time why Foley is trying to blame his behavior on everything from alcohol to pedophile priests and the Dems. What happened to "be responsible for your own actions" that Rush always screams when talking about social services to the poor? Rush always bellyaches about the "liberals not taking responsibility for their actions." So why is he not saying this about Foley? Clear Channel ought to lose half of its sponsors over their sponsoring the like of RW apologists for Republican pedophiles.

15. Most IM programs
keep log files of all conversations by default. One normally has to go out of their way to ERASE a log of a conversation.

I guess that is something Rush is well versed in doing, so he wonders why others don't.

Some IM software keeps it automactically
Earlier versions of AOL would store automatically and others do as well. It was probably set to save as a default. Check your hard drive for it yourself and see if your conversations are saved.

19. My IM transcript goes all the way back to July before the allotted
disk space is used up. I can increase or decrease that cache as well. I set my messenger to store less than the default. So, if I had left it in default capacity, there's no telling how far back my conversations would have been saved.

Edited on Wed Oct-04-06 12:11 PM by Virginian
Doesn't Foley's district include Palm Beach?
Doesn't Rush live in Palm Beach?

According to everyone but Fox News, Mark Foley is a Republican.
Doesn't Rush only vote for Republicans?

If all of the above is true, Didn't Rush help elect Foley and therefore gave him power and sent him to DC?

Once in DC, didn't Foley use the power he was given and the proximity to these pages to try to lure them into his clutches?

Doesn't this logic hold true for Ann Coulter, in addition to Rush?

On edit:
No, Palm Beach is not in the 16th. Rush didn't vote for him.

parents tell their kids to keep the stuff, so they can see it..if their kids feel threatened..or experience something perverted or something very wrong......so they can protect their kids..legally and physically...

but you wouldn't know that, would you you law breaking viagra oxycodin perv rush?? would you??

but you compassionate conservatives..you do not give a rats fucking ass about children..do you rush??..

you just can't stand it rush, that these kids would have kept proof against your republican perverts...

or that these kids or other kids would be told by their parents to show them anything they think is wrong..and the kids trust their parents and the parents trust their kids to show them...

see rush..many people have good relationships with their kids based on trust...soooo, many kids would call their parents and tell them that a sick son of a bitch is being perverted with them online! especially a congressman!

who knows better ..

but doesn't give a rats asss about anything but his fucking pecker!

I want my facts clear. One kid brought up the email. Several other kids came out with IM logs. Now, maybe ABC is using the IM logs of primarily one page, but there is definitely more than "one" underage young man involved and a victim of Foley.
