Bob Novak says GOP knew of emails BEFORE urging him to run
Here's the link to the NY Post article with the comment. It says Novak has a column in today's Post, but I can't find it except for the reference here to it being on pg 31 in the paper addition.

Anyone able to expand on the content of Novak's piece, or able to find a link to the full piece?

http://www.nypost.com/seven/10042006/news/nationalnews/sick_new_foley_e_mails_nationalnews_niles_lathem__post_correspondent.htm

In another stunning development, Robert Novak today reveals in his column - published in PostOpinion on Page 31 - that even after House GOP leaders knew that Foley had written an inappropriate e-mail to a 16-year-old former male page, they were still urging him to seek re-election.

Novak writes, "A member of the House leadership told me that Foley, under continuous political pressure because of his sexual orientation, was considering not seeking a seventh term this year but that Rep. Tom Reynolds, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), talked him into running."

Maybe it's a teaser?

4. That was the first place I checked
but it appears this was an article for the Post's opinion page. But I can't find it there either. I'm hoping someone out there has the paper edition to let us know what else it says.

5. Republicons - lacking in morals and honor
But only too happy to smear other people with false allegations, and to reap massive oil and munitions profits from their Oil War in Iraq.

6. That's a given, but if the Reynolds allegation can be proven
it might bring down Reynolds as well as Hastert

10. Note how he makes this a "sexual orientation" issue and not a "preying on
children" issue?

11. Makes sense, have people with obvious skeletons you can control
don't want people who might vote independently on things, so have people with obvious skeletons in their closets so you can keep them under control.

13. Hold on a minute.
The author of this piece says they knew of the emails but the Novak quote talks about his sexual orientation. Not the same thing.

Do we have a quote about their knowledge of the emails? Or just that he is gay.
