If moron* uses nukes in Iran, what then?
Yeah, damn straight I'm worried. Frankly, scared to death. Being in my 40's and have lived through the threat of nuclear war via the soviets, this kind of nuke pissing match has me, frankly, terrified.

What concerns me now, it's not if with moron*, it's when he* will use them.

Now my question is: what happens the day after? (just writing that question gave me the chills)

:scared:

Granted, just because I believe I thought it up doesn't mean someone else didn't say it first. :)

3. Nothing good.
The other nuclear powers will HAVE to react. Not necessarily with nukes. They know that powerful nations don't need to use nukes.

They can simply quarantine us as too dangerous to deal with. Which Bush might decide was the start of World War III. So he'll call all Americans to service. Yeah, that'll work.

BushCo is notorious for not having a clue what to do next. (Except steal whatever isn't nailed down, and then sneak back for the nails.)

We are going to need leaders. People who are willing to put their nation first and their career second.

14. A quarantine versus nukes will be a welcome choice, but it will really hur
hurt us. We don't manufacture anything worthwhile anymore. We would not be able to get oil to use in trucks to carry food all over the nation - not counting all the other horrors.

22. Yep.
That's why strong nations don't need to nuke.

But weakling schoolyard bullies like George don't understand that because they don't get that the most beligerent is the one who feels weakest and most threatened. The US is no longer perceived as strong because all our actions are the actions of a weak, terrified nation. Basically, he's had us acting like Israel. So we've become Israel. Prey to anyone.

5. "The day after" - that's when China & Russia get into the fray - ergo WW3
.
.
.

They will NOT sit idly by while the USA spreads nuclear waste across their continent.

And the BoyKing starts pushing all them buttons he's been itching to do since his pappy and the PNACers put that miserable piece of skin known as the Texecutioner in The Oval Office

Yeah,

I'm worried too . . .

of launching nukes will cause Russia and China to do the same. THEY dont know who the U.S. is aiming for- M.A.D. will be carried out

20. Even these idiots wouldn't risk a missile launch - not ICBMs at least.
The nukes would be flown in on B-2s from Diego Garcia, or maybe small nukes on cruise missiles from the Gulf. Nothing that would be seen as a direct threat to either Russia or China.

Pakistan, OTOH, would have room to worry. And as a Muslim nation, if anyone responded it would be them - even if the response is to 'lose' a half dozen nukes that will show up in US ports five weeks later.

I've always wondered, just how did a piss-poor nation like Pakistan ever get nukes to begin with? The soviets were cooperating with democratic India on their bomb; did we give the Pakistani dictatorship their technology?

Seems kind of turned-about.

N.Koreans.

Khan is considered a hero by the Pakistanis.

He is currently under "house" arrest.

12. Who knows?
but if I were an American, I would make sure I am stateside the day after -- who knows what the reaction of the world community will be...in some countries Americans and their pals might be beaten to death in the streets and American businesses burned...and some of those countries might not necessary be Arab.

Distinct possiblity if they cross this line...

13. I sincerely think he won't use a nuke...
This is why, and I know it sounds crazy, but I think the M.E. is where we may make our exodus if another ice age were to hit in a few years, and as crazy as it sounds I think that is one reason why the administration is occupying it now. If anyone thinks I'm on crack regarding the ice age thing look at NASA's website (http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2004/05mar_arctic.htm).

15. The second civil war would occur
Edited on Wed Oct-04-06 12:12 PM by MessiahRp
I am pretty sure that would be the straw that broke the Liberals' backs and we would revolt and try to forcibly take the chimp out of power via a coup and the gun toting rednecks who support Bush would consider themselves fighting for America by striking against us.

Foreign countries would condemn us but we would destroy ourselves.

19. I just saw that on the shelf
"The Day after" as I was looking for a dvd to rent yesterday. Almost grabbed it. Probably would have been in a padded cell today if I had. Yeah I graduated in 1987. I was positive Uncle Ronnie was going to get us blown up most of my young life.

23. EVERYONE should see that movie - don't hide your head in the sand
.
.
.

It was in my collection for over a decade before I lost it during a move . .

What you just related is disturbing -

And a large part of the problem with the USA voters

Y'ALL DON'T WANNA KNOW THE HORRIBLE REALITIES of what your Government is doing, and what is is bringing down on you . .

It upsets ya? - change the channel, right?

But the reality keeps happening as you watch the Simpson's and Sports (or Gawd furbid your USA MSM!)

Apathy and complacency will be the ruination of the USA

21. worse case?
Worse case - WWIII - the planet goes jiffy-pop.

Best case - Amerika is severely censured and shut down economically and diplomatically by a worldwide coalition of real leaders.

Either way, the White House and congress get stormed by thousands of outraged American citizens. Bushco criminal carcasses are dragged through the streets like Mussolini. Jim Morrison returns.

The End.

Obligatory Dr. Strangelove line.

First strike with nukes? Never thought I'd see my country do that, but I never thought I'd see us spit on the Geneva Convention, either.
