Major Zogby House poll shows 11 out of 15 seats are Dem's
Daily Kos is citing a Zogby poll which has 15 House races, 11 of which have the Dem candidate in the lead, some of them for the first time. In particular, I do not recall a poll showing Duckworth ahead up to now.

he's the one who rammed through the strip search bill...

House Approves Strip Search Bill
The deceptively titled “Student and Teacher Safety Act of 2006” has passed the House. It will result in a vast increase of wide-scale searches of public school students based on even the slightest suspicion that just one student brought drugs to school. The searches could take the form of pat-downs, bag searches, or strip searches depending on how administrators interpret the law.

4. Thank you -- question about voting technology
Does anybody know what kind of voting technology is used in each of these districts?

We need to track this.

6. The Ohio 18 thing is HUGE
No one gave Zack Space a snowball's chance in HELL 120 days ago (he was polling WAY low). Now lookie. And the DNC and DSCC is pumping money in that race whereas I do not believe they would have 120 days ago.

11. Diebold isn't Santa Clause, it isn't everywhere.
Nor is Diebold presense alone sufficient for rigging an election.

Many of the important races are in jurisdictions where Democrats are either in power (Secys of State, election commissioners, etc.) or Dems have a strong presense in the electoral mechanism.

In other words, it takes more than just rigging the count. One also has to cover-up the rig. It is unrealistic to expect that Repukes will be able to rig 60-70 elections across the nation without *somebody* stepping forward and blowing the whistle.

This is too big for them. They are going to lose in November and there's nothing they can do about it. If they try to rig all those races, they will get caught with their dirty little fingers in the till.

14. This ain't nuthin
Yesterday the Cook Report rep and Brookings Institution were on C-Span. They said

30

seats is easily forseeable. And we take the Senate too. Two of the most accurate previous election pollster predictors in past elections.

15. I agree. 30 House seats should be easy.
Forget Diebold. This is too big for Diebold to help. Many of these races are not going to be close enough, and there are just too damned many of them. Rigging one election is one thing, rigging 60-70 close races is another.

However, I hope to hell that Democrats have sufficient number of people on the ground on election day to help document abuse and to file the necessary emergency court papers to stop funny business before grevious damage is done.

16. The terms they were using had me standing and cheering.
Toxic waste dump....Ohio

Indicators as bad or worse for republicans than when Democrats were thrown out in 94.

Even an event like Bin Laden being found in somebody's basement or an asteroid hitting the earth wouldn't change their opinions.

Not one Democrats seat at risk and the polls were taken before the Foley cannoli.

It just goes on and on. Even the glum reactions of what had to be republicans in the audience were hysterical.

If you have a chance to see the rerun on C-Span, catch it and sit back with a beer. American University.
