1. I remember they used to interrupt my Captain Kangaroo
with "breaking news" updates, which was really so rude, to interrupt my favorite show. But I'd always run and call my mom and tell her that "the news is on!" even though she probably didn't care. Although she hated "tricky dicky", but she didn't need to see every little newsflash.

2. I was 11-ish, and remember they showed the shot of the dome...
..just in silence. You could tell something ominous weas going on.

Oh, and they interrupted my Brady Bunch.

5. I was very young and only remember people watching the hearings
Every once in a while, the people on TV would laugh, and nobody could really explain to me what was so funny.

The best they could explain it was, "These guys did some very bad things, and they're just talking about it as if what they did was no big deal."
