I'm confused. You don't actually stick a fork in toast, do you?

I'm confused. You don't actually stick a fork in toast, do you?
I thought you stuck forks in roasts or poultry to see if it's done. If the toast is done, you ought to be able to tell just by looking at it. Plus a fork would make a lot of crumbs. Why would you stick a fork in toast then?

11. Only if it's stuck in the damn toaster...
and all that crap about unplugging the toaster first is total baloney, because if I unplugged it first I could just use my fingers. Any idiot knows that.
