This is the closest thing to a "perfect storm" I have witnessed in my 51 years on this earth.

2. Yes, but it's pathetic that things had to get so bad for everyone else
first too.

Why didn't this Foley thing happen 5 years ago and save us all?

7. I think we need more.
Maybe two more new, heretofore-unknown Foley-level stories. Or three. These guys are like the undead - they bounce back from everything!

12. As you should be
Rove has his 'most evil bag of desperate tricks' sitting quite close to him right now. Has probably opened it up already and is weighing which one will cause the greatest shift in the monkeys approval numbers. You can only imagine what is in that bag. Most can't even go there...

15. kkkarl is more of a one-trick pony. Fear and smear.
Well, a two-trick pony and that pony's about to be put out to pasture.

16. F----Rove, we gotta get over that guy
His bag of tricks is running dry. The only thing this bunch of criminals has left is attacking Iran, another attack on American soil, or complete martial law. We've watched him slither his way out of the Plame investigation by having Armitage fall on the sword, we've seen him pull * back from the edge of disaster too many times, this time, I say the hell with him.

10. not since Nixon and Watergate,
why over sex and a coverup? Why not over getting rid of parts of the constitution last wk? I am glad for it, but shake my head in wonder.

11. oh yes,,,, I can't quit watching the News and reading DU today,,,,
every time I step away to do something else, more has happened when I get back,,,,,

It is amazing to behold. The Republicans have gotten away with so much for so long. I think my favorite part so far today has been seeing Carville and Bay Buchanan agree with each other :) She kept calling Foley a sexual predator.
