"They represent me more than the Republicans." Talking about the budget, etc.

Looks like he's trolling for a job....

1. If he brings some campaign contributors with him.
He can work for us.

17. If it's corporate blood money, no thank you
We already have enough of that, as evidence by that horrific bankruptcy reform bill that was passed by Congress.

4. No....I Fail To Believe He Said It That Way...
Are you sure he didn't say...."I hope the Democrats Take Over Congress......OVER MY DEAD BODY!!"

Yeah, all these so-called FACISTS suddenly supporting the Democrats? You must think I'm smoking something really tasty.

He probably wants to hang around some sane people for a change.

5. I remember his reaction when the decision of the USSC on
bush v gore, he was horrified at the breach of the Constitution. He said it was wrong. He seems to have a moral core sadly lacking in anyone currently connected to the bush admin and their supporters.

6. That is, as the mouthbreathers would say," hugh!11!1!1!!11"
Ed Rollins is a Reagan Republican.

If they've lost him, they've lost a lot.

Plus, he CAN raise money...and for the right candidates (a bit to the right but ok on the big issues) he just might.

That's good news if it is fer-real!!

10. long ago lost others
Paul Craig Roberts comes to mind...he long ago jumped ship and now writes some really nasty articles on the "Jacobins" as he calls them. He isn't impressed with most of the Dems, but then neither am I (get a spine, you wimps).

15. What I heard on replay was that Dobbs asked him...
Edited on Wed Oct-04-06 06:26 PM by Connie_Corleone
"Are you saying you want the Democrats to take over?"

Rollins replied, "I still don't want the Democrats taking over." And then he said something else about the Republicans not being fiscally responsible.

I watched the replay because of the OP. I wanted to hear him say that because I couldn't believe he would ever say he want the Democrats to take over.

We'll find out when the transcript is out I guess.

On edit: I deleted my other post because I thought no one was reading it.

12. If Rollins said this, it is the beginning of the end...
for the Rethuglican party. If they come over to the Dem party, the ranks of the DLC will swell. YUK...EWWW... It will be time to form a party similar to NDP party in Canada very soon.

18. Probably hard for some of us to understand how deeply "budget and
deficit control" GOPer's despise this administration (and the "values" voters that elected it). I sense we may be (finally) seeing the beginnings of a cataclysmic rift in the GOP's tenuous alliance of the "blue blood rich" and "bible thumpin" hicks" that put these morons in charge.
