Yes, Florida is full of dumbasses
Saw this in the Orlando Sentinel today. Makes me sad(der) to live in this state.

When I moved to Orlando last October from Stuart (Martin County), I was living in the 16th Congressional District. My congressman was Mark Foley. When I heard that he abruptly resigned from Congress, I was both saddened and surprised. The alleged reasons Foley stepped down only added to my confusion.

I would like individuals in the Orlando area to know that Foley was an extraordinary and caring politician. He worked beyond the call of duty for his constituents. For those politicians who are jumping on the bandwagon to condemn Foley, I assure you that not one of them will even come close to the hard work and compassion he gave to the district's citizens.

I always voted for Foley, and I would vote for him again, even with the cloud hanging over his head. I will always be thankful to Foley for all the hard work he performed while he represented the 16th Congressional District.

3. Here's another one
Jeez...

The chickens have come home. The liberals who were so adamant that homosexuality was just another lifestyle and just as good as any other should now apologize for the calamity they have brought on the American nation.

Their insistence that God's book, which was not released for the next election, is irrelevant and should not be invoked in any way in our enlightened society has condemned them and us to a devastating recognition that we have all played the fool.

Although the God of mercy may forgive, there is no way that we may escape the promised consequences.

7. wow - a barely-coherent conflation of pedophiles and homosexuals
Somehow, Mark Foley's crimes are the fault of liberals and society's quasi-tolerance of homosexuals. These people will NEVER vote for anyone left of Pat Robertson.

6. Someone should respond and say that no one asked Foley to quit.
If he is upset, he should be upset with Foley.
