Did Family Research Council Know About Foley & Keep Quiet Too?
Busted! The Family Research Council knew about Foley.

Yep, you read it right. Seems like members of the Family Research Council, that bastion of "Christian purity" and "family values" knew Mark Foley had a habit of chasing after young boys.

And not one of them said a word until after the scandal broke.

Here's an excerpt from an October 3 interview Tony Perkins, president of the FRC, did with Chris Matthews of Hardball:

MATTHEWS: Do you think the leadership of the House should have acted when they saw that Mark Foley was spending an inordinate amount of time hanging around pages, just seemingly too interested in them? Is that enough for action?

PERKINS: Yes, I think there is, because in talking to some pages, you know--I`ve had people now on staff that used to be pages, and it was widely known to watch out for him, that he liked boys. And the question--and this question I asked ...

MATTHEWS: Well, was the reputation hanging on him that he bothered boys, that he spent too much time chatting with them, or tried to seduce them? What was the reputation?

PERKINS: Well, the reputation that he was a homosexual and that he liked to flirt and be very friendly with boys. And so pages were warned to watch out for him. And the question is, what did the leadership know? When did they know it? What did they do.

3. I'll bet anything that Dobson knew as well.....
That the "Focus on the Family" hypocrites knew about Foley's nasty little habits and did NOTHING as well. :grr: I'm so sick of these fucking "christians" I could spit blood. I have no argument with Christians, but those asshole "christians" are about as far away from Christianity as far can be.

5. And he is using the Foley scandal to promote his lies about homosexuals
Summary: Amid the scandal surrounding former Rep. Mark Foley, Family Research Council (FRC) president Tony Perkins has promoted the falsehood that gay men are more likely than straight men to sexually abuse children.

Perkins claimed that "homosexual men are more likely to abuse children than straight men"; experts disagree

Vote this up please people! I've been on a rampage since my first post in this thread and I've already sent the information to about 20 people via email.

This man should step down along with the others in congress who knew because he has an IV line into the White House. Just because he doesn't have a title doesn't mean he is not responsible.

6. "PERKINS: Well, the reputation that he was a homosexual ..."
Fugg you, Perkins. Being homosexual is not part of your reputation, it's part of your physiology.

OTOH, being a g'damned liar is part of a person's reputation, and so is being a g'damned hypocrite. How nice for you, Tony, to have the reputation of being a lying hypocrite.
