bush's private mood has 'blackened". Aww, poor baby
http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/459722p-386715c.html

WASHINGTON - Suddenly, like the fierce "blue northers" that sweep across Texas each autumn, the political winds have turned bleaker for Republicans - and President Bush's private mood has blackened accordingly.

Some of his anger is directed at former aides who helped Watergate journalist Bob Woodward paint a lurid portrait of a dysfunctional, chaotic administration in his new book, "State of Denial."

In the obsessively private Bush clan, talking out of school is the ultimate act of disloyalty, and Bush feels betrayed from within.

"He's ticked off big-time," said a well-informed source, "even if what they said was the truth."

I SOOOOO jealous. Of all the restaurants I've eaten in in NO I thought Jacquimo's was one of the VERY best. Not a stuck-up, snooty place like Antiones, Commander's Palace or Emerils, but a nice little neighborhood place with exquisite food. Then we'd head off for Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro for dessert. They're still closed I guess, at least as of the last time I was there in May.

Hope you have a great time at Jacquimo's. I KNOW you'll have a great meal! ;)

The Big Easy. Love that city! Love the food, the people, the music, everything!

Only one or two true Cajun restaurants here in Silicon Valley. But I have friends from
there that have a big Cajun cookout a couple of times a year... everything you can think of,
and most of it flown in. Didn't do it last year... hope we do it this year!!! I miss my

57. We call it the Crescent City
Tourists who saw that silly movie with Dennis Quaid started calling it the Big Easy. Though, it was used by some jazz musicians more than 50 yrs ago.

I recommend Mother's Downtown, and you should try out some restaurants in Bucktown (by the lake), where tourists never go. The seafood platters are HUGE!
I could eat a softshell crab po-boy about now. :9

58. Oops, sorry...
People here get ticked off when the tourists call San Francisco SanFran or, worse, 'frisco.

Locals always say "San Francisco" or just "the city"... and some old timers with fond memories
of a great newspaper columnist, Herb Cain, will call it "Baghdad by the Bay" (course, this was long
before any wars in Iraq).

I call San Francisco, "one of the ONLY cities where I would live if I left New Orleans but stayed in the USA." ;)

... if I could afford it. Maybe I can get a job at Berkeley University someday... another area I like.

33. Now that Bushler Sr. has an aircraft carrier named after him, I'm sure
this is eating up Junior deep inside, and just think if the Iranians actually succeed in sinking it! I assume it will be the very first ship targeted (barring other opportunities of convenience on the field of battle) to cause major psycological damage. Plus it's a new ship and likely VERY costly.

29. Now his mood matches his heart.
Blackened. It's called REALITY, georgie! It ain't pretty and sometimes it hurts like hell, but we all live with it. You, on the other hand, create a separate reality for yourself and those around you, but sooner or later the facade of that false, separate reality falls away and you're exposed to the same reality as everyone else. Welcome to that reality, georgie.

47. Awww. things not going well for the boy king?
I can see the commercial now:

Shit got you down? Is life closing in around you? Can you not get up in the morning and deal with your job? Feel like getting away? Then follow the George W. Bush model: Declare martial law, then immerse yourself in the subculture of drug and alcohol addiction.

Yes, you too can snort and drink your life away because that's what makes George W. Bush function. Complimentary Fiddle provided as you watch martial law declare all your enemies enemies of the states, enabling them to disappear in the middle of the night. Listen to these testmonials:

"I loved Bush brand martial law. Those I don't like, I ate" - I. Amin

"Bush Brand martial law gave me so much power that I developed nukes." - K. Jung-Il

"With Bush Brand martial law, I can enslave all my people and kill those who fought back." - C. Taylor

"I couldn't run my country without Bush Brand Martial Law." - This Week's PM of Iraq (before he gets shot).

You too can have Bush Brand Martial law. . .erase all those liberties and freedoms that complicate the world. Wash them away under a righteous, Jesus like tide of military imposed law and restrictions. Yes, with Bush Brand Martial Law, your dictatorial fantascies become realties.

Shit's not going good there, Slappy? Aww. . .tell someone who gives a shit. . .I hope your black mood translates into on camera shit so we can expose you as the insane, lying, hypocritical asshole this side of the fence knows you are.

that tells you what kind of a person he is. A better man would take the "truth", as bad as it is, and try to make things right. The only way it can be with him is his way and it's no longer working. What a petty, ignorant little man he is, it's like having some adolescent bully running this country and the victims are finally starting to fight back.

I think that creep, Adolf Hitler, also had a "obsessively private" blackened "mood" at the time he and his "inner-circle" were hidding in their bunker, still criminally refusing to face the REAL Reality of their total f-up... (DEFEAT)

All the while, their own citizens were left "paying the price with their lives" alone, upstairs, delivered by the Red Army's constant blasting of their country in shambles, 24/7.

145. This reminds me of the code of silence in police departments...
when cops look the other way when their colleagues plant drugs or abuse suspects (ie.Luima) and an insider breaks the code to expose the injustice or abuse. It's disloyalty to the organization, but more importantly it's truth and justice for the greater community.

I find it interesting how Woodwards tone has changed so much from the first two books; from almost hero worship of bush to revealing the dysfunction and lies. Woodward on talk shows sounds and carries himself like a man who is upset at being fooled and now is setting the record strait.
