If Nancy Grace had done some research on Melinda Duckett----
she would have known the woman was mentally ill and perhaps would not have interviewed her.

Here's a piece from todays Orlando Sentinel about Duckett, her husband and the incompatence of Florida's DCF.

<snip>
Though Josh's family members blame Melinda for so much, they mourned her Sept. 8 suicide.

"Everybody's saying I didn't like Melinda," Massero said. "It was about Melinda needing help. If somebody had gotten off their butts and helped her, she wouldn't be dead today."

Placing blame for Melinda's death depends on who is asked.

"There is no doubt in my mind that Josh put the bullet in that gun," Bill Eubank said.

The night before her death, Eubank said, he found her on a dark porch scribbling. He had flipped on the light so she could see better to write what he now thinks were her suicide letters. The next day his wife discovered Melinda dead in the closet.

1. Oh I don't think that would have stopped Nancy one bit.
She's not going to let a little thing like that get in the way of a good smearing.

3. I think it's hard to blame someone's suicide on another person.
That's why it's a suicide and not a homocide. Poor lady was troubled obviously. Who knows what else would have pushed her over the edge.

6. That is most insidious.
Like the immune system turning on itself and attacking rather than protecting the body.

Only doing its job.

4. Nancy Grace is a ratings getter for CNN

This is about money, above all.

This sad incident is just a symptom of that deeper problem. What is more important to the national dialogue? Alaska's changing environment due to global warming? Perhaps the war in Iraq? Or the Duckett family's tribulations?
