Just saw Wetterling and Bachmann on CNN and
Edited on Sun Oct-08-06 08:40 AM by Texas Explorer
the anchor was pressing Wetterling (D - Minnesota) about the ad she's running that says members of Congress covered-up the Page scandal. He asked her which MoC had "admitted" to wrongdoing, as she charges in the ad.

She said "Of course no one has admitted wrongdoing but there was indeed a coverup."

The anchor then turned to the Repug candidate to ask her what she tought about the ads and Bachmann immediately made reference to the Gerry Stubbs incident.

Republicans are so useless and all they have to hang on to in defense of themselves over the Foley thing is to blame everyone except themselves.

1. .
That's getting ridiculous. How does the average voter think about that? Normally, that would make one pretty pissed to only hear whiny excuses.

to denounce Foley for his predatory behavior or even hint that Repug leadership may have screwed up.

"...people are saying gee, this is not a Republican issue. Democrats have done far worse on this issue, and we're an equal opportunity offender. So let's just get the bad guys out of here, and people love decency. They love traditional values. So let's embrace traditional values, and what makes the country great."

She literally swoons over Bush, if that tells you anything. Bush is her God.
