Why is a "timetable for withdrawal" always "artificial" to pugs? (MTP)

Do they have any concept at all of setting a date certain for withdrawal and then actually withdrawing by that date?

Why do they always tack the word "artificial" to any talk of a withdrawal date?

1. Cuz it would interfere with the "artificial war profiteering" that
many of them have benefitted from. Tell me I'm wrong.

2. "Artificial" doesn't mean "fake" to them. It means "withdrawing
before WE want to." *sigh*

4. Well, I think the response to the claim of "artificial"
timetables might be, "Fine, then when will we know what a success looks like--what do *you* consider 'real'?" War isn't fought for war's sake--there should be definable goals, and what I hear from the GOP does not sound goal-oriented. It's King Canute looking at an ebbing tide and saying, "See, there's my progress."
