The Republican Foley Defense: Exposing a Child-Stalker is A Bad Thing
A. Alexander, October 8th, 2006
In what has become the largest ever case of CYA (cover your a_ _) in the history of American politics, the Republicans' defense of their Foley scandal cover up has grown "curiouser and curiouser."
The latest cornerstone of the Republican plan of attack appears to be blaming Democrats.
Understand that the Republicans are in control of the House of Representatives. They control all the committees, sub-committees, and hold all the investigative powers. In what can only be described as bizarre, if not downright goofy, Republicans are accusing Democrats of having rung the bell on Foley's teenaged cyber-stalking. They make these accusations, of course, without having any evidence. Not to mention that ABC News, the outlet that broke the scandal, has said that all their sources have been Republicans.

...............
If the Republicans really believe accusing Democrats of uncovering a scandal involving a pedophilic Congressman that they tried to cover up is a bad thing, the GOP is in really deep trouble. Can anyone name a single circumstance whereupon exposing a child-stalker is a bad thing?
