I don't think bushie is really a "conservative" -- nor does he have old fashioned republican values.

We do need a two party system -- but if the Nation survives bushie I see the GOP party dying out and the democratic party becoming the "conservative" party and real liberal party emerging.

6. I think it is likely.

If the Dems get control of the House or the Senate, and I think they will. They will be able to hold investigations and subpoena people. The problem that the Democrats have right now is that they don't have the power to get the information out. Once that it gets out there will be an overwhelming support for impeachment, and that is when it will happen.

7. Impeachment is not an end result, and is vastly over-rated

It's merely a process step -- a majority vote to indict on the part of the House of Representatives, no more and no less. And even if it were accomplished the Senate must follow up with a super-majority in order to remove the accused from office. Given that unlikely scenario, impeachment talk is little more than a feel-good exercise. If (as was the case with Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson), the Senate's verdict is not to convict, the acquitted even gains a certain vindication from surviving what could be characterized as a politically-motivated coup attempt at the hands of partisan idealogues.
