Things that make you go huh?
Edited on Tue Oct-10-06 08:31 PM by MichaelHarris
Child Predators in congress? The congressman who passed the internet laws to protect children caught preying on children? Our lawmakers going to prison for selling their votes? Not anymore, we've got Korea to worry about now, they have a bomb. Well we think they have a bomb, no one has really confirmed it yet we just needed to divert your attention.

Now don't get me wrong, Korea having a bomb is not a good thing but you would think a country that could detect a Russian farting radioactive dust would be able to detect an explosion. That detection technology has been around for more that 50 years. Todays blast turned out to be an earthquake, we can't tell the difference? And this is the administration that wants to protect us? Anyone want to help me wag this dog?

I've just spent the last two days watching the news, you know that 24/7 stuff designed to scare the crap out of you and vote Republican. Korea! Korea!, they have a bomb! Well the White House can't confirm it buy hey look over here, no not over there where a congressman is picking up little boys but over here where we think there is a bomb. No, not that direction either where other congressmen await trial for selling their vote, can't you see it? No, not there either, that's a quagmire of a war we don't want you to see. Korea has a bomb, yeah I said it Korea has bomb. Scared huh?

As I write this and watch Fox News still saying todays "event" was a bomb when every other agency, including Japan who first reported now say it was a quake I wonder, how many of you are being "wagged"? Let's just ask ourselves one question, we live in a country that has been able to detect a nuclear test anywhere on earth within minutes of the test. How come we can't now? So many questions, someone has to ask.

1. Well Michael....you do ask a good question but the answer is
Edited on Tue Oct-10-06 08:25 PM by MadMaddie
rather simple...

This administration initial goal was to destroy the US government and I believe the term was "drown it in a bathtub"!! The problem is that to carry this theory to fruition you can't have a war going on at the same time.....so in the pursuit of this lofty Neocon goal they have managed to destroy the foundations of many of our needed Government Organizations they are fumbling around trying to answer to Rumsfelds ridiculous plans.....

They cannot react to Iran, North Korea or any other threats....

This is all on the Repugs and the nation will pay for it...

2. "But everything changed after 9/11" --including our ability to detect
whether something's a nuclear bomb or an earthquake. Remember, this is the same bunch who had "no way of knowing large planes would fly into buildings." I think the Japanese have more credibility on this...
