4. These are the results of a on-line poll?
The rest of the world can vote too. I just don't want people to get lazy and think they can sit out voting. Every single one of us needs to get everyone we know to vote next month.

11. If anybody thinks they don't need to vote, then they don't need to
show up at DU either. EVERYBODY HAS GOT TO VOTE so it won't even be close enough to steal.

6. As a general rule, I don't trust online polls
They are too prone to ballot stuffing.

You are better off guaging people's attitudes in the upcoming races by monitoring electoral-vote.com, in my opinion.

25. I'm glad you pointed that out.
Electoral-vote.com, eh? Sounds like a good site to bookmark and keep an eye on ... I'll check it out.

Online polls might be of some interest and mildly amusing, but we here at DU know full well that they are often "stuffed" by BOTH sides. We've DU'd enough of them that were being freeped to understand how that works.

In a way, I'm a bit surprised that news outlets and other groups keep putting up these polls since you'd think they are also fully aware that the responses they get could be very misleading. Or maybe that IS their purpose?....
:dilemma:

The best thing we can do, is to help in Gov. Dean's get out the vote effort.I'm retired, but I can drive and call people to remind them. Volunteer people these are crap unless everyone votes. My area is pretty blue, but I would sure like to see Pete King go down.
