'SCARY MOVIE' PRODUCER MAKES CAMPAIGN AD; MOCKS DEMOCRATS
Drudge Report has posted the YouTube link for the ad.

'SCARY MOVIE' PRODUCER MAKES CAMPAIGN AD; MOCKS DEMOCRATS
Tue Oct 10 2006 15:13:16 ET

The DRUDGE REPORT has obtained an exclusive copy of a "scary" campaign advertisement created by Hollywood producer and director David Zucker that was intended to be used by GOP organizations in the closing weeks of the 2006 campaign.

However, the advertisement was deemed "too hot" by GOP strategists all across Washington, DC who have refused to use it!

In the ad, Zucker, producer of SCARY MOVIE 4, recreates former Clinton Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's 2000 visit to North Korea. During the visit, Secretary Albright presented North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il with a basketball autographed by former NBA superstar Michael Jordan.

<snip>

One GOP strategist said "jaws dropped" when the ad was first viewed. "Nobody could believe Zucker thought any political organization could use this ad. It makes a point, but it's way over the top."

I think that's just a bit chickenshit. Remember what Barbra Streisand said yesterday. Can't we take a joke?

I have a special place in my heart for anything that mocks Kim Jong Il.

enough said about the video

the content is just absurd particularly since BushCo has done such a bang-up job of dealing with terrorism - by pouring gasoline on it and lighting it - well done

the fear card has been played and is officially worn out

34. Wow, you're right
Hard to believe, tho' -- the Scary Movies are such absolute crap compared to those movies. In a way, that's even worse, if Zuck couldn't tell the difference.

12. totally piece of crap video - the democratic response
to this would be as devastating as President Clinton's response to the abc propaganda film -

Condi ignoring tenat's warnings of 911
bush going on vacation with the warning memo in hand
shrub with saddam
and bush kissing the king of saudi arabia on the lips
and now foley
not to mention the 12 or so repug heavyweights in jail, being charged, or on their way there.
and then there's the president of diebold promising to deliver ohio to bush in 2004

and the list can continue

28. yes--a rare moment of self-reflection.
When Bush is busy going around the country saying that opponents of the war are treasonous, it's hard to know what is considered "over the top."

You and Dennis Miller like those Midori Melonballs at the NAMBLA bar, don'tcha? That bar counter is so fucking low to the floor, though... the owners claim it makes the special VIP patrons of honor so much easier to soften up, since most of them are so short in stature... they can better reach the Jesus Juice that way...

Barkeep, gimme a "Shorteyes Special"... a "Sex In The Sandbox"... a "Shirley Temple"...

18. Key Questions: 1) When did he make this ad ? 2) Very interesting timing of
it's release to coincide with North Korea going nuclear. 3) Is it possible Zucker gets more info and intel than do the Democrats in Congress ? 4) Did the Bush Administration knowingly allow North Korea to test a nuke and let a Republican leaning Hollywood producer in on the secret.

19. In addition the ad is extremely misleading and obviously caters to the
Republican kool aid constituency as well as depending on an uninformed public.

1) Clinton went after Bin Laden after the embassy bombings - A cruise missle attack which Republican leaders labeled "Wag the Dog" and the sad excuse for mainstream news in this country picked up on.
2) The connection between Al Qaeda and the Cole Bombing did not exist until the Bush presidency began in 2001, and if you recall Ari Fleicsher's now famous moment in which a journalist told him that the Taliban were willing to hand over Bin Laden to Saudi Arabia, which was never discussed or mentioned.
3) At least the Clinton team tried to diffuse the North Korean nuclear aspirations, Bush only beckoned it by creating the Axis of Evil (taunting, name calling, childish excuse for lack of diplomacy, cowboy politics) and then invading one of those nations (sheer belligerence, incompetence) while taking his eye off the now resurgent Taliban, Osama Bin Laden (the boogey man which Bush invokes when he needs a ratings spike and strangely Osama and his henchmen deliver as if on cue), and the Al Qaeda terror network in Afghanistan/Pakistan (double incompetence, stupidity, lack of leadership).

26. Since this guy loves to make stupid satire
SOmeone should take that ad and replace the basket ball with a ball of fissionable material, glowing like mad, then ad a voiceover that says, "The Republicans once again are asking you to believe the impossible, wouldn't you rather have the Truth?"

Then Insert Rummy shaking hands with Saddam, "The Truth is both Rumsfeld and Cheney have been doing business with Iraq ILLEGALLY since the last war there, and Democrats are SICK of this culture of Corruption. Do something about it, Vote Democratic TODAY.."

Simple, I could do it in my sleep..

"Want to see something REALLY SCARY? Take a Look at WHO the Republicans WON'T let themselves be seen with during this campaign, THEIR OWN PRESIDENT!!"

LOL, what a bunch of "LOOSERS", as the hoity toity over at Freeperville say it :)

Maybe because it is lame?

I haven't liked anything Zucker has done since the first "Airplane" movie. The "Scary Movie" series look just plain stupid to me, but I've never actually seen one, so maybe there's something to them.
