Why do the reporters go along with his "wardrobe small talk" bullshit?

It is PATHETIC! His whole act is like a sketch on Saturday Night Live!...I keep thinking I'm going to wake up and find out it's all a dream and this man is not REALLY the president of the world's most powerful country!

2. I would love to see him make one of those obnoxious "wardrobe"
comments, and then see the recipient not respond, and just stare at the idiot. Let the idiot's words hang in the air...it would be a great moment. Idiot would have to fill the dead air awkwardness and say something even more stupid...it would fuck up his head...it would be sweet.
Maybe next time.

3. They're afraid of him - afraid he'll yell or revoke their press pass.
Ever been around an unstable, abusive person? Really scary.

5. Just once I wish someone would refuse
Like say solemnly, "With all due respect Mr. President, I don't feel comfortable being jovial when we are speaking about matters of life and death."

Would that be so hard? Are they that afraid of him?

9. The reporter was obviously being pretty sarcastic
It's hard not to answer a direct question. Saying, I'll tell my tailor is pretty dismissive of a stupid comment. Reporters have bosses to answer to; if they get rude with the preznit, they get replaced.
