here's how stupid king george is
the repukes were able to prop up an Alzheimer victim who couldn't stay awake for longer than twenty minutes at a time, rarely knew who or where he was and could not control his bodily functions and made him look "presidential" for eight years (raygun).

Now they have uber-technology, earbugs, high-end drugs AND the most compliant press in history and this CLOWN still looks like a drooling degenerate imbecile.

1. Interesting point.
Let's just hope everyone else notices this as well when they go to the polls and tie the GOP's candidates in with Bush

3. Truer words, leftofthedial, truer words.
How anyone in their right mind could even think about voting for a Republican after this display is totally beyond me.

Even Brian Williams sounds stunned. Timmy doesn't look very happy.

4. The Republicans have sure had some great Presidents, haven't they?
There have been others, but I'll only go back as far as Nixon. Liar. Burglar. Coverup. Filthy mouth. Watergate. Nuff said.

Then came Reagan. Iran Contra. Ignore AIDS epidemic. Nancy was really the President, or was it her astrologer?

Then we had Bush I. Vomiting on people, continuing the Reagan agenda of putting corporations and the wealthy first, the average American people last.

Now we have Bush II. The worst of them all. The only good thing that can be said about Bush II is he makes all the other losers not look so bad in contrast.

If America ever elects another Republican for President, it will prove how dumb people truly are. Open your eyes, people. Take a look at history. Don't repeat it.

8. Ford was pretty invisible. Except for pardoning Nixon.
He didn't really do much, other than march lock step to the GOP orders.

No doubt we'll discover someday he did more evil than we thought.

10. I don't mean to defend Reagan, but...
he was far smarter than W. Far, far smarter. Reagan was an active political figure for decades before becoming President.

Even with his negatives, at least Reagan could elucidate his ideas and keep his lies straight (most of the time). And further, Reagan's military adventures were "short and sweet". And when considering lawbreaking and Constitutional abrogation, Reagan's administration was a drop compared to W's bucket-full.

Reagan was a conservative who pursued many policies we didn't like, but at least he seemed to actually care about the country he served. Now, compare that to the Criminal Bush Regime. Reagan is a saint in comparison.

14. A few nice things to say about Reagan
First of all, I would like to thank Mr. Bush for giving me the perspective to say anything kind about Reagan. I used to think it wasn't possible.

Anyway . . .

Reagan knew he wasn't the sharpest pencil in the box. More importantly, he knew that was a weakness; Bush thinks it's a strength. Reagan would actually listen to people smarter than he. Bush listens only to God (i.e, his own inner voice, which is foolish and anti-intellectual).

I'm not going to say that his policies weren't misguided -- I thought so then and I think so now. I'm not going to say that his legacy was a benefit to America or the world -- I thought he was a disaster then and I think so now. But while I still have issues with Reagan the political leader, I have made my peace with Reagan the man. Socrates said "Know thyself," and Reagan knew himself very well.

12. I've always wondering if Poppy chose Quayle as his running mate
because it was as close as he could come to selecting his own son.

15. I always figured he chose quayle to shut him up about what really
went on with the iran-contra deals (I seem to remember reading somewhere that some of those sessions occurred in quayle's office)

I also thought that bush41 should have employed a food taster. then, of course, there was mark russell's comment that, with quayle as vp--the dems were forced to pray for bush 41's continued health, which he thought kind of funny.
