Imagine Bush Testifying Under Oath w/o Rove & Cheney to Advise Him
....this could be a real possibility if Democrats take back the majority in the House and Senate.

It would be a total disaster. It COULD happen.

1. I hope they'd pat him down first
For any sort of transmitters and receivers.

2. You make it sound like ...
the AWOL cowboy won't continue to lie despite being under oath.
Come on, don't you know that if the president does, then it can't possibly be illegal.

Cheers
Drifter

4. Bush testimony:
"And then I had sex with Jeff Gannon in the Lincoln Bedroom. He's a top. Hee hee."

"We knew there were no WMDs in Iraq, but I had to get even for what Saddam did to Poppy's reputation."

"I was workin' hard, and needed some time off. It's not my fault the terraists decided to crash into the WTC when they did. Somebody else should have done something to stop it."

"I have been an alcoholic for decades. I just can't control it, it controls me."

"A little snort of coke every once in awhile is good for the soul. God told me to do it."

Oh, you didn't say he would be *TRUTHFUL* with his testimony, did you?

5. He'd never do it.

If Bush's safety net is taken away and he's put in the position of defending himself, he wil take desperate measures to keep it from happening - a la Hitler.

Seriously, knowing his personality type, he'd probably rather be dead than have to admit wrongdoing or take responsibility. There's no way his narcissistic little mind could handle the stress.

10. Under oath, without Rove, Cheney, or his 'hidden' earpiece...
Well, he'd ignore the 'under oath' pretty much...that means nothing to him.
But everything else?
:nuke:
It would be sorta like the scene in A Beautiful Mind where the psych docs deliberately put John Nash into insulin shock to 'treat' his schizophrenia...:scared: :puke:

11. Repubs already set the precedent by making Clinton testify....
.... If there was a charge of serious, felonious misconduct pending against Rove or Cheney, and their defense depended upon what was said or done between themselves and Bush, I can see Bush having to testify under oath.

The Libby case in all likelihood is going to disappear with a Bush pardon. IF not, Bush could be required to testify in that case. Of course, the 'graymail' defense would shortcircuit almost any legitimate attempt to actually try that case.
