Joe Scarborough have KO envy?
Edited on Wed Oct-11-06 08:51 PM by itsrobert
KO ratings are going up. Is Joe shifting his act to try to keep his lead-in audience? Joe seems to have a softer, more gentle approach to his broadcast the last few weeks. Tonight Joe is wearing glasses, Keith wears glasses; Co-incidence? I don't think so. Joe Scarborough has seen Keith make headway in his approach. Is MSNBC urging him along?

edit: Of course I know how to spell glasses. Thanks.

1. I get the impression that Joe's going to run again....
He keeps edging closer and closer to the center.

Maybe he just smells the fumes of the GOP evaporating, and he's shifting to safer ground.

18. He's got too many skeletons in his closet
literally.

I think he's probably found himself a comfortable niche, and prefers being in a place where there won't be any uncomfortable questions.

6. Maybe he's getting a
feeling of guilt over past rhetoric....you know, buyer's remorse, maybe losing sleep. :boring:

7. I noticed weeks ago
that Joe was changing his tact. It might just be all an act. I still don't trust any of the Repugs, they would say or do anything to get elected.

guy who recognizes that being a smirking ass****, (albeit a smart ass****) for the highest bidder, will eventually bite me in the ass.

A fundamental (lol) equation. MKJ

edited after the fact, :-)

11. You Can Put Lipstick On A PIG...
But it's still a PIG.

Glasses? If he's wearing glasses to look like Keith, it won't get me to WASTE 60 minutes watching his GARBAGE, but perhaps I'm not his target audience anyways.

WHY would I watch him after watching Keith? That's depressing.

13. Of course. So does Matthews, Crosby & Tucker. Keith is PRIME TIME.
The rest are in the hinterlands of afternoon television while Keith rules!

14. For the time being KO is the true leader at MS -
I HOPE HOPE HOPE he has turned the tide and shown the light to his network peers - Scarborough and maybe even Tweety. Perhaps even Abrams sees that the niche of truth can be a winner and give the executive go ahead to follow kO's lead. Time will tell of course

15. I was thinking that Joe had Tucker envy
The first thing I noticed was that he wasn't wearing a tie.

And to be fair, a lot of TV anchors wear jeans when they are behind a desk. As long as they look good from the waist up.

17. I've noticed that he seems to be trying to imitate KO.
Not that I watch much of him, but I can't help catching a little bit after KO is finished. Also, he's really been laying it on thick with the Jon Stewart footage. He seems to be trying really hard to be "cool".

19. I thought the same thing with the glasses...
Then the outro music to a commercial cinched it.
