Duuuhhhhh, what else is new?

Yesterday I accompanied Florida congressional candidate to a candidate forum, where he was to speak, along with his opponent, incumbent Repuke Ginny Brown-Waite (FL-5).

She said something in her speech that I thought was a little bizzare about her not supporting giving Social Security to illegal aliens.:wtf:

That's the first I've heard of anything like that.

then, I found this a little while ago.

So, I guess our district will be getting these mailers also. And my wife
saw a Vern Buchanan ad this evening attacking Christine Jennings over it
this evening. That's the race for Katherine Harris' vacant seat.

Is this shit getting lame or what?

1. Could it be she is innoculating herself--SS Reform
Today on C-Span Tony Snow was giving a speech at a fundraiser.
Naturally, he was building up Bush. He says SS Reform and
fixing the Medicare Program is on the Agenda for post election.
The President has not given up on these reform, according to Snow.

Florida is Senior Citizen Territory. Seniors for the most part
do not favor Bush proposals. Could it be this member knows
she will have to vote with Bush. (She could really believe as
many Republicans--this is just another welfare program and smaller government people cannot support these.) It sounds as if they are making up
their excuses now in preparation for later after elections.

Just wondering.
