Two world construction industry factoids...

I work at a large construction/architecture company.

A big wheel in our CA dept just dropped two very interesting yet terrifying factoids.

1) 50% of all concrete produced in the world is currently being used by China

2)15% of all heavy lift tower cranes are being used for construction in Dubai.

I thought these were interesting and would pass them on.

Need lots of roads to be a first world country and China needs a lot of roads to get there.

These places are starting from desert or pre-industrial urban areas.
