President Bush Discusses No Child Left Behind Act in North Carolina

I want to thank -- you know, they say to me, what do you want from the schools? I don't know if you recognize this, but we just had six Nobel Prize winners recently announced - America had six Nobel -- all of whom went to public schools in America. And my hope as I travel through the halls of these schools, like this one, I'm meeting Nobel Prize winners of the future. It's a noble aspiration for all of us to aim for. And so I want to thank you for letting me come.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2006/10/20061018-3.html

Name, year born, years in public schools, presidents during 12 years of school (assuming started when they were 6 yrs old).

John C. Mather born 1946 (1952-1964) two dems, one repug,
George F. Smoot born 1945, (1951-1963) two dems, one repug
Edmund S. Phelps 1933 (1939-1951) - all dem presidents,
Roger D. Kornberg 1947, (1953-1965) three dems, one repug
Andrew Z. Fire 1959, (1965-1977) one dem, 2 repugs
Craig C. Mello 1960, (1966-1978) two dems, two repugs

So under democrat administrations our public schools were putting out better students.

No child left behind, except under bush :)

Next maybe we should see if said states where they guys went were dem controlled as well...

2. Thanks, if I get the time shortly will research some more
So far CA and MA rang some bells (in relation to where these guys went to school, though one did in my neck of the woods in Ohio and I think it was during rhodes' tenure, will check it out later if I get the time).
