Bush to shift message to healthy economy (Get ready for the spin machine)
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush, who gets higher marks for handling the economy than running the Iraq war, is spending two days this week trying to convince voters Republicans are the best stewards of matters affecting the wallet.

Oh, Little Monkey, don't you know the following: the stock market is a reflection of productivity not wealth, the housing bubble is bursting, real incomes have flat-lined and YOUR RUINOUS FUCKING TAX BREAKS FOR THE WEALTHY AND YOUR EQUALLY INSANE WAR IN IRAQ HAVE BANKRUPTED US?!?

Oh, wait, you're the White House Capuchin, of course you don't know these things.

The Money Quote.
In fact, begging may be an indicator of a deeper economic problem, said Deb Tegtmeyer, executive director of the Licking County Housing Coalition.

Job loss, stagnant wages and the increasing cost of housing all contribute to not only begging, but in some circumstances, homelessness, she said.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 11.7 percent of Licking County residents lived below the poverty level in 2005, up from 7.5 percent in 2000.
