Nancy Pelosi: a GILF with brass ovaries
Man, that 60 Minutes segment was awesome; she did not back down for a nanosecond.

And I gotta say, especialy for a 66-year-old woman, homina homina!

6. I hope she gets a chance to define Nancy Pelosi before Rush and the bots
destroy her. She's a class act.

9. yeah, Rowdy, I think she will
as she noted in the segment, people don't really know her yet. She's a good bogeywoman for the hard-core mouth-breathers, but most people are still at the "who?" stage. But her personality is so strong, she's more than capable of cutting through the noise and defining herself.

14. The best part of the deal is that she's relatively unknown.....You and I
have a pretty good idea where she stands, but-if she works issues carefully (and wins the house!)-she has a chance to largely define herself. She could be a serious player.

All this makes me tingle because I've been waiting for a quality speaker of the house since the LONG ago days of John McCormick. Looks like I'm about to get my wish in a couple of weeks..

19. I also loved the fact that her husband was questioned as to whom buys
her clothes and he hemmed and hawed and then admitted he does because she has other things to do more important than shopping. He seemed a very decent man from my perspective, not the least bit condescending or wanting his 2 minutes on stage rather very supportive of the person with the more important agenda.

25. I found that exchange really fascinating because they're very well off
and I'm pretty certain she wears designer clothing. Apparently, he knows her mind and she trusts his judgement.

On a personal level, I've bought every peice of clothing my partner has worn for the last 5 years. I don't mind doing it,while he HATES it.

I'm so glad that she made a point of saying that impeachment was off the table

we have more important things to do that try to impeach Bush

let history judge him; and maybe the feds after he leaves office

20. if the Democrats get hung up on impeachment
and we don't actually present a real agenda, we're going to lose in 2008

the average person doesn't care about impeachment and the Democrats have to get the average person's vote; we all know that the bastard deserves to be impeached and throw in Leavenworth for life but let's wait until we can our agenda in place

27. Don't worry my friend.....
The drumbeat for impeachment doesn't extend beyond DU.

Bill Clinton was screwed and revenge would be very satisfying, but-sadly-it's not gonna happen. Personally, I'll enjoy watching Bush twist, slowly in the wind, victim of a thousand cuts by friends and foes alike.

A humiliated, disgraced President Bush is far preferable to an impeached martyr on the right (especially considering the prospect of President Cheney).

imprisoned and tortured and still waiting. Protect and defend the constitution of the United States or step down.

21. Yeah, like Nixon... like Reagan...
except that all the same criminals are back running the show again. It's time for them to answer to the courts and to be sentenced. We the American people, demand it. Pelosi is far better than the Bush criminals but not exactly the greatest.

I've seen it happen. It's not pretty. Bigoted, hate-filled, chauvinistic, worthless woobie strokers. I can't wait to see them get what they deserve...

31. If Pelosi's a GILF, then is Hastert a GILSPONSBI
GILSPONSBI = "Geezer I'd Like to See Put On the Next Short Bus to Illinois." But you probably already figured that out.

And, of course, the Bush White House staff are all a "Corrupt Usupers who May See Prison Or Trial Soon"

It reminds me of Dan Savage's column, where he gives his letter writers names that always translate into funny and appropriate acronyms.
