4. and also with 36% of democrats voting for him
since GOP voters in CT are the least in registration, Lieberman wouldn't be leading the way he is if he didn't have a big edge with Independents and also nearly 4/10 democrats. So we can't just say it's because of republican votes.

5. Ok now what.
Let's say for argument sake the Lieberman does win and the Democrats take both the House and Senate. The Democrats should not under any circumstances award this turncoat with any position of leadership in any caucus.

Let him win and become the bastard child of both parties within the Senate.

6. My guess is that key democrats have privately told him that they favor him
when Clinton said on "Larry King" that CT was a "win-win" for dems that was in effect telling democrats that it was okay to vote for Lieberman.
