Ever Notice?

In the stylized donkey image used by Democrats, the stars point upward. In the stylized elephant seen on all Republican web sites and campaign literature, the stars invariably point down.

The inversed pentacle is widely considered a symbol of black magic.

3. tsk,tsk, should not talk about witches like that. a bit of a lesson-
witches take an oath called the Rede: "an it harm NONE, do as thou wilt". people who are practicing the dark arts do not honour the Rede, and are not considered witches. or, "white witchcraft is redundant, black witchcraft is an oxymoron."

6. And my comment was a joke.
Thanks for the info, nonetheless. I must admit I was not fully aware of that. :hi:

2. I started to agree that this must mean something, then...
I saw a version with the start rightside up and it just didn't have as nice an effect:

Still, it makes one wonder why the graphic artists overlooked this. Given the propensity of certain political parties (the nazis) in the past to embrace the occult one would think that a normal organization would want to avoid that appearance.

4. I like the donkey: warm, cuddly, you feel like talking to it...
The elephant, however, is another story. It looks cheap, contrive, hard-to-warm-up-to. It looks like one of those mats you put down on the kitchen floor to place your pets' food and water bowls on.
