1. I agree. I'm getting antsy. The anticipation, I can't wait to watch the results unfold as the
fortress of the fourth reich crumbles before my eyes.

2. I've got a big present under *my* tree!!!
Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 01:34 PM by longship
It's all wrapped up in colorful paper and an absolutely ridiculously large ribbon.
The card says, "To the World, From the citizens of the USA". Can't wait to see what's inside.

Oh, puleeze let it be fifty more Democratic House seats and seven more Democratic Senate seats!!

My prediction as of now:
Seven Senate seats--we'll get them all and lose none.
Thirty or more House seats, losing no more than a couple.

If trends keep moving in our direction, which is what they are doing, the present under the tree could be much larger than it is now. That's why I want it to be fifty House seats. That's doable. There are more than 70 competitive seats right now, almost all of them are held by Repukes. If this is really a tidal political change that it looks to be, there's no limit to the number of House seats we could take. Hell, I've even heard rumblings that KS-CD2 is in play (D-Boyda v. R-Ryun).
Go Nancy, Go!

3. I don't know if I can get that optimistic
I was here for 02 and 04, talk about a let down, but I'm getting a little happy and crossing my fingers that everyone finds the same present.

4. Well, this time we have every reason to be optimistic.
And every reason to work hard to see to it that the results match our optimism.

For 15 months, ever since Camp Casey was erected outside Chimp's Crawford ranch, things have taken a monolithic downward spiral for ChimpCo. In 2002 and 2004 nothing like that had happened. For once, we can see a tidal shift which looks to be a stable political state change. Every single one of the big, global indicators show that there is a new political dynamic.

Yes, I wish that there was more media coverage of this, but I think after the 7th, the media will be forced to acknowledge that it has occurred. There are going to be many, many red faces among the prognosticators. They're all going to miss the mark. The political environment for the Repukes is positively foul. They have absolutely no issues left in their favor. Even their ever present security issue has now gone to the Democrats.

The Repukes have painted themselves into the corner. They literally have no where to go. All their stupid, silly political games are going to backfire this time. They are going to reap the whirlwind.

5. Never count your chickens before they are hatched...
I will believe it when it happens, until then I don't trust the repukes not to fuck with the voting.

I'm not getting my hopes up for no one, just to have them crushed like they were in the last 3 stolen elections. My heart can't take another let down.
