<snip>

Is there a bias in the mainstream media against the Republican Party?
Mike Malloy, Paradise, California

BENNETT: Yes. And it is demonstrable. Survey after survey of powerhouse journalists -- on television, in newspapers and magazines -- show a clear liberal predisposition.

5. What about their editors, Bill?
I know, Mr. Bennet just makes shit up. Just the same, it doesn't matter what a journalist's political leanings are. It's the editors who decide what makes it to print.

8. Actually, in today's climate, it's the publishers and owners
who make the decision about what to print. The editors could be liberal, too, for what that would be worth.

The gatekeepers are CONSERVATIVE, Mr. Bennett.

14. Yes, that's like saying that GM is a liberal, pro-union company
because most of their workers are.

Fiddlesticks! It's management that decides the policies (and the political support).

11. He's right--there are no RW talking heads who are "powerhouse journalists"....
it's not surprising that someone like, say, Amy Goodman is liberal-leaning, since she has the necessary critical thinking and analysis skills to be a journalist.

It's hard enough to come up with a list of right-wingers whom you could classify as journalists, much less "powerhouses".

13. to republicans, the definition of "FACTUAL" is "DEMOCRAT"
they can't have people going around reporting the facts. that's anti-republican.

15. Here's Bennett's "bias against the Grand Old Pedophiles"
CBS, AP leave unchallenged Bartlett's claim that Bush's Iraq policy has "never been a 'stay the course' strategy"

http://mediamatters.org/items/200610230002

Summary: In an interview on CBS' The Early Show, White House senior adviser Dan Bartlett stated that the Bush administration's Iraq policy has "never been a 'stay the course' strategy" -- a claim that the Associated Press reported immediately after. But neither the CBS interview nor the AP article made any mention of previous, repeated assertions by President Bush that the United States "will stay the course in Iraq."

17. I'm sure most of the propagandists in the USA are GOP or neocon.
Their choice if they want to live in myths and lies. Journalists require something they can discern to do a story. Start being real and perhaps more journalists will get ya.
