Nope, no standard Monday morning update here:

http://www.gpoaccess.gov/wcomp/2006.html#October

Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents:
Browse the 2006 Compilation
The Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents is published every Monday and is the official publication of presidential statements, messages, remarks, and other materials released by the White House Press Secretary...
October 2006

October 9, 2006 — Volume 42 - Number 40 (Pages: 1703-1763)
October 2, 2006 — Volume 42 - Number 39 (Pages: 1663-1701)

The Federal Register? Nope. Nothing here...
http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/laws/current.html

Whitehouse.gov? Nope. Nothing here...http://www.whitehouse.gov/query.html?col=colpics&qt=statement+on+signing+military

Did he just tell Congress to eff of verbally, rather than in writing, this time? Surey there's something in that several hundred pages that ("purports to") require some Congressional oversight or notification, and which he typically poo-poohs in his ever-lenghtening Statements on Signing.

What's up with this?

1. why would he issue one? he got EXACTLY what he wanted
the Democratic chickenshits pissed away the filibuster, and the WH rewrote the bill over the weekend to read exactly like they wanted it to.

no amendments passed the Senate. It was signed as passed.

ETA the reason the Senate Dems floated the amendments was because there IS NO "REAL" OVERSIGHT in the bill...since they were voted down (which anyone who can count to 51 would have seen coming a mile away), there ain't none.

4. Bingo
as evidenced from the gleefully sadistic expression on his face upon its signing into hopefully temporary law.

5. They could tell you -- but then they'd have to kill you.
Any signing statement on that bill is likely classified.
