Have you noticed this line spoken by members of both party's.....
Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 04:36 PM by Postman
The Iraqi govt has to step up and stop the violence.....

WTF?!?

You invade their country, destroy the infrastructure, tell everyone you're here to help and in the process kill their families, turn them out onto the streets with no jobs, give away who-knows-how-many millions of dollars in bribes, sweetheart deal construction contracts to your buddies, stand around and watch the country turn into a basket case, all from the "safety" of your fortified castle-and-moat "green zone"...

And have the balls to blame the breakdown of the country on the puppet regime.

You people make me sick.

2. They're both in on the hit
And they are singing the same phrases to try to get out of it.

They are looking desperately for someone to blame, other than themselves.

They are going to blame Iraqis for us bombing and destroying Iraq.

6. Yeah, it;s like they want the Iraqi's to do a Harry Whittington...remember?
The guy who apologized for getting shot in the face by Cheney?

They want the Iraqis to apologize for the US fcking up their country...

The hubris is unearthly

3. My feelings exactly.
You install a powerless Bush-vetted puppet government hated by all Iraquis. Then "we" expect them to control their own people which are NOT their own people while living in their own private green zones for fear of assassination?
I give this puppet government 6 more months before they abandon it themselves.

4. Imperialist thinking: always blame the ungrateful victims
You know, "We had to destroy your country in order to save it."

I agree with you. I expect this from Repuglicans, but Democrats should know better than to say such a callous, inane thing.

5. Our bipartisan exit strategy: "OPERATION: BLAME THE BROWN PEOPLE"
Edited on Mon Oct-23-06 04:44 PM by IanDB1
"We're not going to play the blame game, but it's really the responsibility of state and local authorities in Iraq..."

"Why didn't Talabani send the busses?"

'YOU' who did IT and EVEN voted for IT, broke IT, NOW SOMEBODY ELSE is going to have to fix IT. THEY should ALL be voted out of office.

9. Agree. And that's how you tell the difference between a human being
like Kucinich and political hacks -- who shall remain nameless.

and it's been said for a while now by politicians...who, in my opinion, are using such language to shape an "America was just trying to help" lie. Trying to exonerate America for her criminal actions by blaming the Iraqis.

I don't care who says it - when they say it, all I think is liar!

Blame the victim. It's easier than admitting America is liable for her actions.
