3. Vote Your Brains....
What makes you think that's a slap against Democrats?

"Why, with global warming, I'll enjoy a healthy tan year round!"

If I'm voting my brains, I sure as hell am not voting Republican.

4. wait--I get it--let's say all the repukes,etc., vote for joe--they can
still find a way to blame the dems for the vote, because, of course, everything is always the dems' fault.

9. Was talking to Nancy Dickerson's son about his mom w hen
she was in media. Asked him if women can be mothers and work in media now. If they work, do they make lousy moms. The man looked at him like he was from outer space and responded with a statement about these being different times and women can do what men can.

7. They should turn it into a commercial. Fitzpatrick (R) did it to Patrick
Murphy - he took Hardball footage and turned it into an ad.

They could use it as a smack upside the head to any of the anti-Iraq War Dems and Independents who are considering voting for Joe.

Transcript from a thread on this on Daily Kos:

"MATTHEWS: (looking dead into the camera) OK. Just let me say this to Connecticut, if we have a war that keeps going after this election, don't sit back and say, "I did my best." Because the best thing you can do is vote against the war, right?

(speechless)

MATTHEWS: If you're against the war, vote against it. You only get one vote. Shouldn't you vote against it, if you care about it? If you care about other issues more, fine.

(crosstalk)

DICKERSON: That's where they're coming down, is they're saying they like, you know, the war is complicated, a lot of positions, they like Joe.

MATTHEWS: There's nothing complicated. Use your intelligence and vote your brains."

8. Well, he is right to say that anti-war people who vote for HolyWarJoe
Have lost their right to claim to be antiwar. Or sane.

I do agree that "VOTE YOUR BRAINS" is a weird slogan.

Beats "VOTE YOUR ESOPHAGUS", "VOTE STRAIGHT TICKET SPLEEN!" or "VOTE YOUR ISLETS OF LANGERHANS", though.

10. He said "vote your brains" as opposed to voting based on
"sentiment" which was what Dickerson had said - that people were voting for Joe in spite of their disagreeing with him on the War because they had a sentiment favoring Joe - they've known him for years and liked him or agreed with him on other issues ...
