1. Wettering v. Bachmann, Mn. sixth district
Patty Wetterling lost her adolescent son to a kidnapper 20 years ago; she has fought for child protection since then.
Michell Bachman is Mn.'s answer to Katherine Harris. A creepy religious hypocrit, she's betting she can whip up enoug fear of gays to galvanize the God Warriors.

Bachmann was ahead until recently; last polls had Wetterling even or pulling ahead.
Bachmann has virtually unlimited money and has had visits by the big three: Bush, Cheney, Rove.
Laura Bush visits this week to heap up more money.
Bachmann is a real horror.

2. Derby vs Heller
Nevada CD 2 They are in a virtual tie with Derby's numbers rising and Hellers falling. NP's and independents are breaking 2/1 to Jill visit her website www.jillderby.com This is huge considering her district is predomnately Republican. Repubs have a 14% advantage over Dems but Nevada likes independent thinkers

5. The NY 26th for sure.
I've also heard good things about the NY 19th, 20th, 25th, and 29th. If you've got money to burn, they could probably use it in those districts.

7. VT-AL
Peter Welch-D is leading Martha Rainville by 6 points or so, but it's still a close enough race to worry me. Welch has been running some good ads lately. I'm hopeful he'll prevail.

10. Yes, because Pombo has a solid base in part of his district
McNerney has been gaining ground but it's still Pombo in the lead in the polls. I live less than twenty miles from that district and wish that I could move temporarily just to vote for McNerney.
