So now does the adm. put up another flag that says "Mission Accomplished?"

Are we ever going to get out of that mess. The death toll for us and for the Iraqis is just awful.

1. I'm sure Tony Snowjob would say, "Hey, it's just a number" and that
Chimpy will just count it as another 'comma in history'.

4. 2,800, not 2800.
You forgot the comma.

5. There was a horrible thing on the news here last week
This father, age 52 (!) in the reserves, was called up to Iraq. The local Portland news interviewed him last year where he said he was afraid of dying in a roadside bomb, and last week he died just that way.

And they showed the interview where he said it was like the last days of Germany when they only had the old men and young boys to go to war.

Very very sad.

7. When you have 52 year olds called up you know you have
big problems.

We need the draft - that would get all the college kids off their duffs and out into the streets in protest.

I swear that is what got us out of Viet Nam. All the kids got involved in a huge way.

9. All you retired baaaastids out there, don't get too comfortable!
The price of that check on the first of the month is that you're subject to recall at the pleasure of the President and directive of the Service Secretary....

all he is going to do, unless we challenge this jerk. How many more must die??? I can imagine if our media whores showed this our soldiers getting killed everyday out in Iraq, then some Americans would realize what the hell is happening out there, (I am excluding those who visit this board).

Randi just said we are number 53 on the index for the world for press freedom, so we do not have a free press, and we are not getting the information we should be getting, very dangerous for us indeed.

8. You know we have been having coverage here of funerals and
coffins. I was really surprised. Right on the front page of the paper.

And we have had a lot more coverage of the war the last couple of weeks - probably because of the upcoming election.
