The Allen campaign refuses to return our calls asking whether Sen. Allen will release his sealed divorce records. We're not the only news outlet asking, just the only one telling you how the Allen campaign is responding. Heck, one major national daily had a reporter out in LA for at least week trying to nail down the story. It's what every Washington insider is talking about: what's inside those sealed records down in Albemarle County. Now that the Allen campaign is about to go on the airwaves about sex scenes in Jim Webb's books, maybe you should know about this too.

autobiography called "Fifth Quarter" back in 2000. In it she recounts growing up in a football obsessed household with three older brothers. George made her life miserable. She recounts how he held her over Niagara Falls on a family trip, hit her boyfriend in the head with a pool cue, dragged her by her hair, threw his brother through a plate glass door, and vandalized people's mailboxes with a baseball bat he kept in his car. Interesting aside: another person who attended Palos Verdes High with George (and me) says George showed a bunch of kids the bat. It had "n----r knocker" written on it and he bragged that he used it to bash heads.

George Allen is a piece of work.

Hope the word gets out far & wide in VA what an angry, mean, violent, racist, and women-hating thing this guy really was/is!

Referring to George's early leadership skills, Jennifer wrote: "We all obeyed George. If we didn't, we knew he would kill us. Another time, when I refused to go to bed, George dragged me up the stairs by my hair."

Explaining why she is scared of heights, Ms. Allen writes that "Ever since my brother George held me over the railing at Niagara Falls, I've had a fear of heights." Referring to George's relationship with one of her boyfriends: "My brother George welcomed him by slamming a pool cue against his head."

Referring to George's early career aspirations, Jennifer wrote "George hoped someday to become a dentist. George said he saw dentistry as a perfect profession - getting paid to make people suffer." ..."

In 2004, Allen voted against a proposal that would expand the Family and Medical Leave Act to allow victims of domestic violence and sexual assault to take leave from work for up to 30 days. It also would allow victims of domestic violence, stalking or sexual assault to receive unemployment insurance if they have lost their job as a result. The American Association of University Women was for the amendment.

1988: Allen Opposes Rights of Women Sexually Assaulted in the Workplace. Allen voted against legislation to allow a woman who was sexually assaulted in the workplace to sue her attacker rather than be limited to benefits under workers' compensation. He was one of just twenty members of the House who apparently believe that sexual assault in the workplace is just another job hazard.

Reminds me of this in 2004 in Illiinois:

Three accounts of his spitting on women as a gesture of disrespect are now floating around the Internets. If he did that to total strangers for no reason, what would he do to his wife?

divorce papers. The Senate is worth a BIG bucks. PAY FOR THE INFO! Pay as much as it costs. That would be money better spent than on any TV ad Webb could run.

As far as I can tell, the entire Republican party now consists of thieves, perverts, and criminals. They sure are lucky the Religious Right still supports them, since nobody else is blind and clueless enough to go along.

They can thump their chests all they want about family values, abortion and whatever. But, time and time again, they're behind some of the most morally bankrupt politicians in office.

That's about all the Republicans elect to office anymore. Actors and jocks. Living off their name with no credentials to hold an office. George Allen is an example of someone living off his father's fame and he happens to share his first and last name. Same for former Florida senator Connie Mack. These are just two examples.

And they say the Liberals are taken over by the Hollywood types.

The intellectuals tend to become Democrats! Besides actors and jocks, the only other group they've got is corrupt business types. ;)
